Chiitan wrestled in Philadelphia in April 2024




Chiitan made an incredible and dazzling ascent in the world of professional wrestling.

Indeed Chiitan made his debut in the DDT Pro-wrestling on the 3rd of May 2023 in Japan. His first match was against Chris Brookes, an English professional wrestler who signed to DDT in 2019. As a matter of fact, Brookes is the current KO-D openweight champion and has been a two time DDT Universal champion.

Before the match, the main question was : "Will Chiitan make it out alive against Chris Brookes?"

On the third of May 2023 Chiitan's strength was quite impressive against this giant of 2 meters high. The fight was tough but the result was merciless: Chiitan was victorious. He defeated Brookes in 10 minutes 26 seconds...

After this tournament, Chiitan's dream was "to go to to America and become a professional wrestler. I hope to attend Wrestlemania in Philadelphia in April."

And Chiitan's dream came true...

Indeed, on the 3rd of April 2024, Chiitan's best friend, Kame-chan, posted on Twitter/X an incredible news : "Chiitan☆ will be making an emergency appearance during WrestleMania Week in Philadelphia 🐢 It's my first overseas match, so please show your support"

When the news was published on SNS, Chiitan was already in the United States, preparing his debut in America :"I also arrived in Philadelphia. Head to the WrestleMania venue. See you in the ring"

Chiitan's first match took place on the 4th of April against Dan The Dad. It was a great success because Chiitan won thanks to a superplex.

The day after Chiitan gave an interview to DDT Pro-wrestling on Twitter/X in which he expressed his enthusiasm for being in Philadelphia. He also explained that he hoped to beat Chris Brookes sooner or later.

On the 6th of April Chiitan appeared again. His first match was against Aja Kong. This professional wrestler never thought that he would one day meet Chiitan on a ring in America! Aja Kong was so happy that at first he tried to get on well with the mascot. But Chiitan attacked him so harshly that Aja had to answer with a backfist...

The evening was not over for Chiitan who had to face other opponents, such as Doctor Cube. The fights were really fierce and Chiitan was eliminated. However, he managed to conquer the hearts of the American audience and was always warmly welcomed.

Chiitan is already back in Japan to prepare his next pro-wrestling match which is planned on the 14th of April in Yokohama. Chiitan, with Miss Mongolia, will fight against the Brahmin brothers. Most tickets are already sold out and there are only few tickets remaining... So, if you want to attend the FMWE matches, hurry up and buy your tickets quickly!!

Chiitan the protean traveling theater of a puppet without a wire-puller

A blend of pop-culture and animistic tradition, the Yuru-chara or Japanese mascots have become key elements in the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. Omnipresent and very popular, most of them stand for a trademark, a firm, a town or a region. Chiitan's philosophical impact : light-heartedness and playfulness against a serious background by Kevin Kavanagh

 Chiitan's first affirmation is : the world as it is is too serious. But its first interrogation is : is this world really serious ? We understand why some Japanese people were frightened by Chiitan. Even if that negative impression didn't last, it speaks for itself. As a friend of mine said, Chiitan looks outrageous compared to the Tradition of the Samurai. There may even be a dimension of provocativeness about it...
